The canyon is cool and inviting with all of the green trees and wildlife.  Animals are scurrying around gathering pine nuts and more for the coming winter months….

Highlight of the week, the very rare find of the Hurcules Beatle was made here this week.  Robert and Kevin have waited 60 years to find one….pictures on web site……They found two males and a female…the males slammed into Kevin’s back as he walked through the forest to his black lighted sheet.  The female was found on a sheet in another location of our forest …Hey, they also found a Rhinosorous Beetle….

Well, we made it through a very mild winter and now it is  sometimes very breezy.  The Oak trees are dropping their golden leaves and growing bright green new leaves at the same time.  I love walking through the leaves and feeling them fall on my head.  The White Cypress are beginning to get some little green knobs now too.  It is early for spring but warm weather will do it.

The wild peacock os hanging around and he made it through the winter with us.  Wonder where he came from?  He is beautiful, that tail is growing back and is about 5 feet long now.  He is an Indigo Blue Peacock.   Send me a blog….this is Judy

The Canyon is quiet this time of year, the animals  are keeping warm and safe at night and early morning until the sun comes up over the mountain.  Today it was about 50 degrees here and there were many people out riding bicycles and jogging.  Some watching birds as well.  We have guests at the cabins fromSan Diago California and they are loving the beautiful sky, woods, creek, animals, birds and just the quiet serene comfort of the Canyon itself.  First dusting of snow on December 26th, beautiful looking out at the creek , trees , rocks and the mountain side …
